I warn you now.. rant involved below!
Just got word from my son's dad that he will be off orders (military) till Mid November. Which means in essence... I will not get a child support check for November or December. which means I am royally screwed. :( My SSDI will let us pay rent and such but it also means everything else will either be delayed in paying (like electric, cable etc) or removed.. like Julian's preschool. I had been thinking of applying for a part time casual position at the library across the street from Julian's school but now I am torn. If I do apply and get the position, that would be extra money. but to take the position julian has to be in school. which then means all that extra money will be used for Julian's tuition hence.. no extra money coming in. Now i understand why a good friend of mine was saying she actually had less money now that she was working then when she wasn't. *sigh* And no check in December means pretty much no Christmas goodies for julian either *sigh* I know I shouldn't complain when others don't have as much, but Julian loves his school, I love the mommy breaks and my bipolar really doesn't do well under financial stress what so ever :(

Does that mean he won't be working during that time? If he is working, why can't he have automatic payments come to you? They can do that kind of thing.
In terms of financial security, the job might be good. And Julian loves school and it is good for him, so it would be a shame to have to pull him out. You should check the papers for some kind of work at home job like medical data entry. That might help you be able to be at home but still bring in some extra.
Carol CSS (child support services) removes it from his paychecks yes.. so I will get a check for October because it came out of his September checks. But if he isn't working October or November then there will be nothing to take out funds from to give me a check in November or December :(
